Dear all Hive photolovers, this time I would like to present my photo of a city landscape. The location is near the exit Tol gate in Grandwisata Bekasi, Indonesia.
This is the exit point of the Grandwisata tol gate. You will be greeted by a Starbucks board when you are out of the tol gate. I think some drivers hang out in Starbucks coffee shops as their lifestyle.
There is a large boulevard in front of the gate. I think the architecture of the boulevard is cool. There is a large park on the boulevard, but it is closed to the public.
Straight from the gate, you will be greeted by a large chain of local restaurants. Sederhana Restaurant is a big chain of Padang food restaurants. Sederhana is very popular for Padang cuisine. Padang cuisine is very tasty and spicy, so many people like it. The architecture of Sederhana Restaurant is very unique. The roof of the building is shaped like a buffalo's horn. It is a miniature of the Rumah Gadang roofing.
When you circle around the boulevard and turn right, you will find Cafewalk. They are arcades of small cafes, food courts, coffee shops, and offices. There are many visitors on the cafewalk.
Don't hesitate to stop and buy a cup of coffee from one of the mobile coffee sellers. You will find many coffee mobile sellers on the sides of Grandwisata Road. A cup of coffee is only 3000 to 5000 IDR or around $0.2-$0.35. You can buy cigarretes too.
From the exit tol gate in Grandwisata, you turn around the boulevard and follow the road. You will be out to the mainroads to Kalimalang Street. Here you will find traffic jams in rush hours.
But, you will see a lot of big chain restaurants like McD's, Pizza, Solaria, and KFC.
Here is the exotic Jakarta-Bekasi Traffic Jam. You will not feel visiting Jakarta and Bekasi if you have never experienced a traffic jam. Thousands of cars and motorcycles pass by on the main road of Kalimalang.
This is rush hour when people go home from their workplaces. I took the photo at around 5.30 PM. Thousands of people are going home at this hour. If you visit Jakarta or Bekasi and do not want to find a traffic jam, you should avoid the rush hour. The rush hour is usually in the morning from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. In the evening, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
