I’m sorry if it’s taking me a while to write because it’s hard to find a leisure hour. Maybe the mothers like me can relate. I guess, I’ll be consistent to post every day if my daughter turns 2. She will celebrate her birthday this coming August.
When she was 9-months old with her aunts
As early as 5 am, my baby awakes. She is my human clock because she’s the one that wakes me up. Even if I’m still sleepy, she cries if she doesn’t get my attention. Sometimes, I open the iPad so I can continue sleeping🤣, but she doesn’t like screen time. Good thing that she doesn’t like a gadget. It’s bad parenting, I’m guilty. She’s just a smart baby who hates screen time. So what do I do? I just brought her to the patio so she could see the birds because she enjoys watching them and seeing them outdoors.
While my daughter enjoys on the patio, I rush to make a coffee anxiously because, in just a few seconds of not watching her, she might be doing some things that are dangerous for her. She might play with our dogs, climb the fence, or go to the street with a few cars passing by. It is dangerous to leave your baby even in just a few seconds at the age of 1-2 years old.
My daughter likes to eat vegetables and fruits. But she’s teething this week, so I just give her a banana cereal. I tried to give her hard foods, but she just spit them out. That’s a real struggle as a parent if you’re effortful to make a meal but your baby says no. She even cries if she notices her spoon. At 6-7 am is her breakfast schedule.
From 8 am to 11, she is wide awake around these times. She goes outside and looks at every neighbor’s gate. I know she’s just curious, unless she knocks on the gate and calls our neighbor, then I’ll surely grab her back home.
Around 11 am is a napping time. Seems like she has an eighteen-month sleeping regression because even sleeping, she is fussy, but I just pat her back gently. I’m just a person who doesn't wanna be distracted if I focus on something, that’s why it’s hard for me to be consistent here, but I’ll try my best. Concentrating on this community is a big help to solve my tight budget.
My baby sleeps every three hours a day and 10 hours at night. She likes to sleep twice during daylight but I take her to walk at the park so snoring goes away. She is friendly because she says hi to everybody. From 2 pm until 5 pm is her daily routine to play outdoors. She loves to explore new places and things; and new people. She loves to see the birds, trees, and flowers. She loves to be with grown-ups.
Around 6 pm is her feeding time of solid foods. Sometimes, her dinner is extended into 7 because if she is full, she doesn’t want to eat solids.
She sleeps from 8 pm until 5 am. While she’s sleeping, it’s my turn to clean up the room and do the laundry. My body becomes so exhausted after multitasking, that I wish to sleep my back and have a deep nap for many hours. I couldn’t have the time with other things online, but I’m glad I’ve been able to write this post today.
How about you, what’s your daily routine as a parent? As a mom and as a solo mom? How did you manage your time?
