Penang is a well managed city. This is one state of Malaysia that doesn't have any debt and the least corrupt state of the Malaysia. You'll notice the hustle and bustle of the city. The street lights become brighter as the sky turns dark.
The skyline of Penang
This is in contrast to the museum in an old colonial building. This is a premium area of the city.
Gurney Paragon Mall
The beautiful red colourful lanterns hang from the ceiling.
Pink Honda city
Wow. This car has a nice shade of pink. I would definitely have my car in this colour if I had the chance.
Looking at the building above
This building looks pretty tall. I wonder what it looks like to be that high up. Most houses in Sarawak are landed and not many people live that high up. So I am not really sure I'd be able to adapt. What I noticed while strolling around Penang are the number of apartments that are in the city. There seems to be so many. These tall little buildings that are so tall. A couple of days, I talked to this guy who had lived in Penang for a couple of decades. He told me that most youngsters nowadays have a hard time buying a home.
We were hungry and we hunting for food.
Then, we passed by this building.
After a bit of walking, we finally arrived at Gurney walk. This place is known for its food. This time around, there weren't a lot people. I still remember walking here years ago. I am not sure if it's the pandemic or maybe new places popping up around. In the past, I still remember the queue. So many people queuing up waiting for their food.
Gurney walk
My wife walking into Gurney walk.
We were looking for a stall that made oyster omelette.
There were still some people around.
Seafood fried oyster stall
We ordered a plate of oyster omelette. One thing to try when in Penang is definitely the oyster omelette.
While waiting, I went to the stall to have a look at how this delicious plate of omelette was made.
Oysters. eggs and the right amount of flour.
There were also other stalls.
Yummy.
So eating a delicious plate of oyster omelette, it was time to head to another place to eat another plate of oyster omelette.
