Hi hi.. everyone. While I was in Hong Kong, I wanted to check out their supermarket to find out if there was any difference in shopping there as compared to here in Miri.
This is Park N Shop.
One of the supermarkets here. I did not see a lot while I was here in Hong Kong. Mostly, mini marts.
I saw this brand of coffee that is sold in Hong Kong. And it is from Malaysia.
This is also quite a popular brand in Malaysia. It showcases an old man as the mascot.
I saw this metal box. What caught my attention is the labubu box. I am a fan of Popmart.
The fruits here are quite expensive. 59.90 or around RM 30.
Usually, in Miri, one apple costs around RM 1.50 to Rm 2.50. USD is around 60 cents, but in Hong Kong it is around USD 2 per apple.
Their butcher area. Usually, in Malaysia, most of these butchers are not located in the supermarket from where I am but is a shop on its own.
The meat displayed here looks quite pleasant. Neatly arranged.
Cooked meat. BBQ Pork.
These are priced similarly to the Malaysian prices.
A whole chicken that is roasted. Similar to Malaysian prices and perhaps cheaper in some ways. It is around HKD 140 per chicken here in Miri.
The supermarket is quite neatly laid out. The fruits here are premium-priced. In Malaysia, these fruits cost a lot cheaper.
I got myself a Lollipop with a surprise inside. I wanted the surprise.
The trolleys here are quite small too, as compared to where I come from. Just ot compare only.
There are durians here too. These are from Vietnam.
During the Durian season, one durian can cost as little as HKD 10. But it is around HKD 130 to HKD 180. The fruits are higher priced as compared to the fruits in Malaysia.

And so that is a short blog of what it is like to shop at a supermarket in Hong Kong. It is similar to Malaysia except for some of the price difference especially the fruits.
