A view from the sky, high above the clouds. Where am I heading to?
Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia also known as the cat city. The mascot of the city is a cat. or lots of cats. These are late post and I am writing from the day I visited the city so in the future in case you want to visit this city, you would know how. It's been a long time since I last visited Kuching. It is my third day here.

Airasia - The preferred choice for Malaysians at the moment.

Miri airport

It is been a really long time since I last sat on a plane and that when the pandemic was still in its early stages. On this trip, I brought my wife to the Brunei consulate to have her passport renewed since the border of Brunei is still currently closed. It will be at least half a year before any border plans to open.
In the picture above, my wife as she prepares for flight. Our flight was at 9:40 A.M and we were here at about 9.
Interior of the airport.

Minimalist airport. Only a couple of minutes of walking to the departure hall.

A lot of passengers were already there waiting to board the plane. A wonderful sight since the start of the pandemic and the lockdowns.
On the plane

Airasia planes usually have a tighter walkway due to the reduced price for passengers. It removes most of the overpriced food items. You have a choice. The longest Airasia flight I've ever taken was to Sydney, Australia a couple of years back. I am going to write post about Sydney pretty soon in case you want to visit the city in the future.

My wife in her seat. The good thing was that there were still some seats that were empty so we could choose our seats. We bought seats but were occupied by another passengers. A senior citizen and her nephews. So, it's alrite.
Kuching international airport

After an hour, we reached Kuching. More on that in the next post. I am heading out of my hotel after this post. Sorry for any late replies or comments. Just a quick post before heading out.
