Sweets for a Sweet
Hello,Hive Signers family!
I’d like to share this captured moment of my youngest child, holding a boxes of Toblerone chocolates from his auntie (tita) fresh from Australia.
A bag of Sweetness
In Filipino culture, it’s very common to receive packages or Balikbayan boxes from family abroad. This is the way for them to show their love and thoughtfulness to their families in the Philippines.
Sending these boxes to their loved ones brings them happiness, even though they are far away.
Many More Gift (Pasalubong)
In addition to chocolates, the package contained lotion, toothpaste, bath soap, goggles for my children ( for our beach trips).
Some dresses for and a shaver for my husband.
Receiving these gifs made us feel loved and special.
My Sister Inlaw
She is my sister In-law
My sister-in-law, who works in Australia, is currently on vacation in the Philippines. This is her first trip home in six years, so she's spending a lot of time with us. We've been going to the mall, buying her nephews things they want. In my fifteen years with my husband and his family, I've found her to be incredibly kind and humble. She treats me like her own sister, in fact, she's closer to me than she is to her own brother. It sounds silly, but it's reality.
Bonding and Eating Moment
For her month-long vacation, she spent lots of time with us, taking us to great restaurants we’d never tried. She really wanted us to have fun while she was here.
At Max’s Restaurant
Honestly this was the first dining at Max’s restaurant and I was impressed. The food was delicious, and the high prices justified by the quality.
It was a particularly enjoyable meal, especially since it was a first time for my family, except to my sister in-law who introduced us to the restaurant.
The experience brought us immense happiness.
Thank you again Hive Signers family spending your time reading my story. I hope it will serve as an inspiration to others.
I hope you won’t get tired reading to my upcoming post.
Thank you and God bless everyone.
