The last day of the year started like any other.
But it soon turned into a collection of small stories.
These are the ordinary snapshots that make up our simple, imperfect life.
And I'm grateful I noticed them.

Crowded Grocery Store
We spent the last morning of the year at the grocery store. Everywhere I looked, people were busy. Mostly, picking ingredients for their New Year's Eve meals. We chose what we needed. Even though it was crowded, we successfully bought food.

My Kids Moments
After the grocery run, it's the kids' turn for fun. My two boys are pointing to Fun Nation. So, we allowed them for a few minutes for playtime.

Chicken Adobo With Pechay
It was already late for lunch, but I still cooked chicken adobo with pechay. It would have been so easy to just buy food outside. But the take-out order disappears in minutes, while a simple homemade meal saves a little and can still be served warm for my family. Just being practical. 😉 Anyway, this meal is one of our favorites as it's simple, saucy, and perfect with hot rice.

Kamote Cue For Snacks
In the afternoon, I prepared a kamote cue for snacks. I can imagine the golden sugar coating and caramelization on the sweet potatoes, perfect for our merienda time. But this time, it didn't happen the way I wanted. The sugar didn't melt the way it usually does. 🥺 I felt a little disappointed. I'll share the whole cooking experience in another blog soon, so I can look back and laugh at it. Lol. Anyway, we brought the kamote cue upstairs and made some coffee. The kids loved it. Actually, it tasted really good.

And that's it.
Looking back, nothing grand happened today.
Just my everyday life. 🌷
Simple moments that stay with me.
Until my next everyday snapshots...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
