Some two weeks ago, I made a walk in the fields near my home which led me to make snapshots of the plants and insects found along a pathway. My idea was to look for flora and fauna to photograph. My problem has always been my shaky hands, I used to take images without tripod but now that I am in my "advanced age" (LOL!), I needed one. I am even using a shutter release cable because without it, my images are always blurred. All images taken by my camera was set to ISO 100 so that all images had this setting.
It was a sunny day when I went off to the pathway which is just around 1 kilometer from my flat. There were many bees and other insects as usual since flowers bloomed already. But, the wild daisies were not there as supposed to be since April , a few blossomed but the start of Spring had been very cold.
At the end of the pathway, I saw a farm that has a horse track with wild grasses. This place must have been a breeding station for horses and now its empty. It would be beautiful to see the animals here.
I also saw thistles and yarrows all over, they seem to be growing everywhere that make the bees so busy hopping from one flower to the other sipping its nectar.
This is one of my favorite subjects to photograph when I am in the pathway. They stand so tall and straight always showing their crowning glory full of clustered tiny flowers. I searched for its name and Google says it called Cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris).
I am not so sure on this, but a similar wildflower called Queen Anne“s Lace also grows alongside this Cow Parsley. Sorry guys, I am not an expert on wildflowers but I think their genus are the same, only their varieties differ.
Yarrows are a favorite of the snails and though this plant here has dried already but the snail still clung to it.
