Hello everyone!
Today, I am bringing you to my favorite park called "Wasserpark", located in the 21st District of the city of Vienna. This is reached from the city center thru a Bridge . This is a very beautiful Park adjascent to the Old Danube and I always come here whenever I have an appointment at the Health Center of the 21st District. It is a few meters walk from the Health Center.
Coming from the Health Center, we will pass-by these lovely alley full of old trees. There were trees that were sick and have to come down, but they have replaced them with new trees.
At this moment, the trees are in full bloom and the flowers are so pretty to see.
This Park is extremely well taken cared by the District admins. The ponds now have a healthy ecosystem since the feeding of the birds were prohibited some two years ago. The food rests made the water polluted and the birds sometimes got sick from that.
Now at this stage, they have added some tools for physical exercises as well as added many banks for visitors to sit onto for resting while enjoying the view of the different ponds frequented by the swans, ducks and doves. It seems as though, there were not many ducks around the day I visited. They must be somewhere on the other side of the water where the boat rentals are located. I think they knew that park visitors are not allowed to give food so they migrate to other areas in the direction of the real Old Danube with the hope some people have bread with them.
The ducks here were still hoping to get food from the visitors, so they stay near humans and only then they would walk away when the visitors go. They (ducks) seem not to lose hope , although some people still give them something secretly when no one is looking around. The district admins will fine someone if caught feeding the birds. Everyone understands that feeding is bad for the eco system of the water.
