On this occasion I would like to write an article with the theme of the work environment. Every day I get up early to go to work at PT marcopolo. I work as a Welding Helper. I have a lot of co-workers and my co-workers are very friendly and kind.
We are currently arranging the materials that will be used to build a Tugboat-type ship. The group leader instructed some of the team to clean up the work area to prevent a fire from occurring. With that, when we see everything neatly arranged, we also feel comfortable working without worrying about a fire.
On the left side of the road right in front of us, some teams are also carrying out material lifting activities. The 8 mm plate was lifted and placed neatly. The plate is used on the side of the ship and they all set the length. When the plate is lifted, we cannot be under the plate, if the hock crane is not installed properly, the plate will fall and hit us.
This is a tugboat type ship that has been 90% completed, only that some additional work remains such as repair welding and painting of the ship. To make a tugboat the estimated time is approximately 5 months by working day shifts and night shifts. Every progress that has been made will have a ship owner who checks it, if there is something lacking regarding this progress it will be corrected by us.
Everyone was busy working, I was helping the welder and fitter who were cutting and welding the 5mm plate. They asked me to stand farther away to avoid sparks. These few days I always help them both related to work progress. I am comfortable working with them and I was also taught how to weld.
