What a happy celebration! Unexpectedly, they invited me to their birthday party held in one of the wealthy family of our employer's clan. They have two housemaid one from Indonesia and one from Philippines. They have a modern western style of their home. Imagine , the boss of my friends are only 3 person, the mother, the daughter and grandson. The daughter became widow when she was young and her son was only two years and now finished his degree, an Engineer and have already good work in the capital city. His grandmother died four years ago and his mother had early retirement.
Now they are only two in a big house but he is now working in the city so my two friends are now working with only 1 employer. So, they allowed us to have a party in the servant's room. The servant 2 rooms is located near the kitchen with sala or dining room for us.
The celebrant is not the worker but a helper of siblings who live nearby. I refused to come but my friends told me that the celebration won't be the same without me. Since I am the senior and the longest time working here, they love me so much.
Last year, I was also there attending the birthday of the two #ofw, name Anabel and Sharida.
This is Sharida who cried when she sliced her cake upon wishing everything not only for her but for us being an #ofw. I was touched to her words that hopefully, our love and friendship will never fade as we keep on working in the same family.
She is Anabelle, a friendly #ofw from Tarlac Philippines. She never come home for 10 years in a row. The reason, she have no money to spent for vacation because of her children's education.
After eating, singing and dancing, we went home with foods in our bag. The most important that I brought from there were the leftover for my cats. I ask them if they have cats and told me that they are just throwing it in the gardbage. On my God! I asked permission to bring it back home.
Time was 1:00am and I hurriedly fed the cats. One call, Mememg!, they woke up and they enjoyed the foods!
That's all for today? To be continue!
