Happy Wednesday everyone, friends.
Today started with beautiful nature although the sky was cloudy since morning. There was light rain. But the afternoon was sunny and rain free. Because of which I enjoyed that time very much. Then I tried to walk for a while on the city streets. Because today after noon the roads of our city were completely empty.
Because four consecutive days of public holiday have been announced on the occasion of Durga Puja, a big religious event ahead. That means all offices will be closed for the next four days from tomorrow. And because of that, most of the people in the city have already left for the village. This is because the city starts to become empty from noon.
I noticed it quite well while walking. Take a closer look at the scenes, our city roads are usually not so empty but there are always too many cars and traffic jams. So today's scene was completely different for the people of the city. However, many people are happy because the city will be free of traffic jams for the next four days and the traffic pressure will be very less.
However, there was something else that I liked more than these and that was the floating library. Think about the floating library idea? It is now quite popular in our city. I already know this, but today I took the opportunity to photograph it to share with you. It is scheduled at different times on different roads and from there members collect books of their choice and then return them at specified times.
However, these are provided free of charge but subject to membership. Still the subject is a great and wonderful undertaking, no doubt. Because people are moving away from reading books day by day. So it's a great idea to attract people to books and it's very popular in our city.
I walked past the car and took a few photographs. The topic is very good and my thanks to all who are involved in this initiative. Good people are always associated with good things and they always get success in this field. My walk today was really pleasant and the sky was clear during the walk, there was no rain.
