Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! πβ€π
Today I just want to share something simple and a little funny of my first attempt at making homemade peanut butter. π€£
You know me, when I see ingredients in the kitchen, my mind starts thinking of what I can create. Even if I donβt have full knowledge about it, I still try. Maybe thatβs just how I am. I like experimenting, especially when I feel curious about something. π
Since, I had some peanuts available at home, I suddenly thought, Why not make peanut butter? In my mind, I was already imagining that smooth and creamy peanut butter that we usually buy in the store. I thought it would be easy. Little did I know, itβs not that simple. ππ
I only used one cup of skinless peanuts. First, I washed them properly, then I toast them in a pan without oil.
While frying, I kept stirring continuously to make sure they wouldnβt burn. The smell of toasted peanuts slowly filled the kitchen. It smelled so good and nutty. I felt excited because it seemed like I was doing it right. When the peanuts were cooked, I added some margarine and kept mixing until the margarine melted completely.
At this point, I was already imagining spreading it on sliced bread. After that, I transferred everything into the food processor. I added a little milk and started grinding it until the peanuts became tiny and smoother.
When I finally opened the processor, this was how it looked.
Honestly, it didnβt look like the commercial peanut butter we usually buy. π€£ The texture wasnβt super smooth and creamy. It was a bit grainy. But still, I felt proud because I made it myself from scratch. No preservatives, no complicated ingredients. It is just simple peanuts, margarine, and milk. π
Of course, I couldnβt wait to taste it. I immediately got some sliced bread and spread my homemade peanut butter on top. π
The texture was not as smooth as I expected, but the taste? It was actually good! You can really taste the roasted peanuts. It felt more natural and homemade. Maybe next time I will blend it longer or adjust the ingredients to make it creamier.
I was laughing at myself while eating because I keep making random things that come into my mind, even with just a few ingredients available. π Sometimes I surprise myself. Instead of just buying ready-made food, I try to recreate it at home. It doesnβt always turn out perfect, but I learn something every time.
What I realized again today is that trying is better than not trying at all. Even if the result is not exactly what I imagined, at least I gained experience. And who knows? Maybe one day I will perfect my own peanut butter recipe. π
Life is like this peanut butter experiment. Sometimes it doesnβt turn out as smooth as we expect. There are rough textures and unexpected results. But that doesnβt mean itβs not good. Sometimes the imperfections make it more special because you know you made it with your own hands. πβ€
Have a Blessed Tuesday everyone! ππππππ
