Good Friday, everyone. It's Holy Week for us Catholics and I hope those who practice the tradition really do put into their hearts and ruminate what is told in the church.
As for me, we only stay at home as the crowd and summer heat is too much for us. My mama used to make bilo-bilo during Holy Week, but now she's gone, we stopped eating it as well.
However, I still try to abide the no-meat rule. I cooked the mung beans with tofu few days ago, and yesterday, I cooked salmon belly sisig. I missed it a lot!
Then I paired it with miso and gochujang soup with tofu. I love the tinge of spiciness of the gochujang paste.
Oh, the mung bean and tofu, by the way. Lol. This is the last serving and I just ate it tonight.
Also, my stand fan broke down the other day. It suddenly stopped working. I tried to clean the motor, but to no avail.
In addition, I destroyed the oscillation knob so I just bought a new and better fan. I was contemplating on getting a regular fan because it's cheaper but I decided for a better option because
I'm surprised that it was delivered within 24 hours even though the estimated delivery date was April 7.
Honestly, I'm doubtful that I would be able to set up the stand fan on my own. I just tried my best to follow the instruction manual and hoped I don't mess up. Lol.
The fan comes with a remote control and also has a touch panel. Ah, this is going to make me lazier to get up.
It's also an inverter fan and says it consumes 50% less energy. I hope that's true. I intentionally bought an inverter type because of the impending price hike on electricity. I guess my old fan breaking down was just in time to switch to a more efficient fan.
Anyway, I successfully assembled the fan and now running smoothly. The only problem is that it doesn't work alternately with the airconditioning unit on eco mode. Probably a safety feature so I plug it on a different outlet instead.
That's all! Enjoy the holidays!
