Hello everyone!
It's been a while and I've missed several challenges the past weeks, or even months? I've been a bit inactive, but I changed my schedule recently. This change allows me to have time for blogging in between my classes. I used to do so after work, but sometimes, I'm already to tired to post or even think about what to post.
I started blogging almost every day again. Hopefully, I'd be able to make it a habit. And so, I'm going to join ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #66 for the first time in a while. The topic is This Is Where I Live.
This is a very interesting topic for me. I saw it yesterday, so I took a bunch of photos this morning before I started working. :) Let's start!!!!
This is the place where I, my parents and our furbaby Arashi live. We are only renting this place, but the landlady is my father's friend, so we're free to make some changes in the house.
Outside our fence are our lovely ornamental plants. Some of them used to be in the backyard, but since we started our vegetable garden, we transferred most of the ornamental plants here.
When you get inside the fence and turn right, you'll see this space. This is where I exercise at night and sometimes, my family and I just sit and chat here when the weather is good.
Our kitchen is situated outside because our house is too small and the ceiling is low. It would be a little dangerous to cook in such a small space, so we extended our kitchen here.
Beside the kitchen is where we do our laundry. We have a water pump, but the water coming from it isn't very clean, so we use tap water instead.
We temporarily placed our seedlings or some plants in this area in front of our house. There's a bigger space in front of it, but there are still sacks of gravel, sand and cement now. We're planning to improve the front yard in preparation for the rainy season, but we still haven't completed the materials needed. lol Maybe next payday??? I hope so... xD
On the left side, we have our small store. Papa usually takes care of it. :)
On the left side of the house, there's our ice cream and snack corner which is also a passage to our garden.
Then, here's our garden which is beside and at the back of our house. We plan to move more ornamental plants outside, so there's be a much bigger space for the vegetables. We're still on the planning stage, though. haha
That's basically what you can see outside the house. Now, let's go inside! :)
This small open space here is our receiving area. Although, we also sometimes just stay outside (the space for exercise near the kitchen), this space is also usually used for the same reason. :)
Upon entering the door from the receiving area, you'll get into our living room. It's basically a family space. This is where we watch movies together especially during my days off.
Next to the living room are the dining table and the sink. Sometimes, when my cousins or friends come over, not everyone can fit in the dining table, so we usually just eat in the living room area and/or the tables outside near the kitchen. haha
Now that you see the sink, you can understand why we don't cook inside the house. haha
Our house have two small bedrooms. Well, my parents room are much larger, though. Based on these doors, I bet you can figure out which room belongs to me, right?
Papa and I repainted the whole house a couple years back. It was a tough, yet enjoyable task!
Let's take a peek inside my parents' room. I took this photo in the morning, so Arashi's bed is still there. Mama usually place it under their bed for more space. :)
Then, here's my favorite place... my room! I've been using this loft bed since February and it's great! I still haven't had the time and budget to paint it, though. Well, it can wait. hahaha
And finally, the toilet/shower... :) I won't show you inside, but it's quite huge. It's about two-thirds the size of my room that we can actually fit a bed in there. haha We don't know why it's that size though. We didn't ask the landlady. haha
That's about it. The place is quite old, but it looks new since we repainted it. I'm glad that the landlady allows us to do any changes in the house. We've been living here for more than 10 years now, and I think this is the longest we've stayed in one place.
We used to transfer houses due to my father's job and other circumstances... but so far, this is the place where I can feel most at home. I still hope to have our own house someday, though. I would want something similar to this place... only with bigger rooms and a much bigger garden. <3
Thanks for checking this post out! It's almost time for my classes again! See you around! (^^,)/
