Christmas is around the corner and although we don't have huge celebrations and the like, I still enjoy seeing and feeling the Christmas spirit. I really hope to see my cousins this Christmas, though... Anyway, before I get even more sentimental, this post is actually for ASEAN Hive Community Challenge 89 which is a photography challenge. And for the theme? RUN FOR RED.
Perhaps you get the reason why I started this post with Christmas... it's because the color red reminds me of it. It's a color which reflects Christmas, love and even festivities. So, for this challenge majority of the photos that I'm going to share is related to this festive and delightful holiday!
Every Christmas, we change the color of our curtains into red or other Christmassy color. Lucky for me, mama chose red this time. hahah Our Christmas tree also have some red Christmas balls, so I want to show you a couple shots that I took earlier.
Aren't they pretty? Our Christmas tree and balls have been with us for many years. They still look really good, though. :) And yeah, papa did all the Christmas tree decorating this year. He did a great job, didn't he?
Christmas has two aspects, the cultural aspect and the religious one. As for the latter, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and of course, he wouldn't be born without his mother, Mary.
However, for non-Christians, Christmas is a cultural event... and I got some representation for that. Of course, in red!
We got our Christmas-themed pillow cases. We also have some pillow case in green, but since the challenge is for red, I chose these babies. We have a very cute Rudolph with his red nose and of course, Santa Claus.
I know I made this post kind of Christmas-themed, but I have other stuff in red that I want to share here. So please, check them out as well.
This cute red m&m plushie originally belonged to my friend from university. He used to hang this on his bag. He gave it to me as a remembrance before graduating. Another friend gave me a guitar pick necklace, but it wasn't red. haha I miss them... we were the otaku group way back in university. I remember talking a lot about manga and anime with them during our break time. It was our healing time from all the stress. In addition, I also have that cool design on my mousepad. haha
I also got this LA Angels baseball cap because I'm a fan of Ohtani Shohei. I'm not much into red stuff because they're too flashy, but for the love of Shohei, I got this. haha Well, he transferred to LA Dodgers now, though... but worry not, because I also have a Dodger's cap even before he joined. I'd like to have the current color one soon. My cap is in a darker blue color while they have kind of royal blue one this time... lol
Anyway, to end this post, allow me to give you this lovely rose from our garden. Have a great one and enjoy the holiday season! (^^,)/
