It's been three weeks since we temporarily transferred to this new place. There are pros and cons about living here, but it's the same everywhere, right? There are things that we'd like, and things that we wouldn't.
The new place is big and spacious... maybe it's also because we no longer have some of our furniture and appliances, so it's quite bare. And since it is a two-storey house, we can exercise even inside. hahaha My daily steps have increased a lot despite staying at home, so I feel much healthier. lol

The problem is... because of its location along the expressway, there's nonstop noise at all times! It's especially noisy when we open the doors. As I've mentioned in my previous posts, this place is still under renovation, so the windows are closed. There's double glass, which is quite helpful in soundproofing the house, but there's no ventilation, so at times we have to open the doors and let all the sound in! haha
If we want a little peace and quiet, we'd close every door... and it'll be super hot! I think this house is designed for a centralized A/C system. It'll be the best solution for the new owner (since this is going to be for sale after the renovations) to survive.
As for us, we have some small fans we could use to make the heat more tolerable. We also installed my window-type A/C from our house to the room we're staying in now. That A/C is suitable for a small room, but the room my family and I are staying in now is quite big. It gets comfortable eventually, though... but we have to limit our A/C use since we're saving the electricity cost, since there are still a lot of other things we have to prioritize.

There's a huge space in the back gate, though... and outside the gate is a residential area. My parents are putting up a small store by the back gate to have some extra income. Mama is going to post about it on her blog one of these days.
The area behind the house is much cooler and quieter, well, except at noon, since it could get pretty hot there.
There's a mango tree at the back of the house, too. And there's this space which is under construction beside it. Our landlord said it's going to be a place for a water tank or something.
I don't know how long we'll be staying here, but we've been talking about moving somewhere else someday. We don't feel safe going back to the previous house, even though we like the environment there. We've lived there for about 15 years, so it's been a special place for us... and I super love my room there!
Nothing is certain, but it's likely for us to go back and live in the countryside instead. We'd have to save for the move, though... so it would take some time. We'll see in the future.

I'll end this post with these photos of the small bilimbi tree near the front gate. haha I just found out what it's called in English, but in Cebuano, we call it iba and kamias in Tagalog. This is a really sour and acidic fruit, but it's delicious. Have you ever eaten it? :)
Anyway, I'll end this post here. Thanks for reading, and see you around! (^^,)/
