Hello Buddies...
Some time ago, a friend of mine in the writing community sent me a flyer about a theater performance. He also announced that he had 10 free tickets for our community. I, who had never seen a theater performance before, jumped at the chance. This performance also served as a reunion for our community members after a long absence. Coincidentally, Anggrek was visiting Jakarta at the time, making this moment especially significant. We all ended up in the theater together.
This theater performance is entitled Monoplay Melati Pertiwi: Weaving Traces of the Nation's Colonial History. This theater is very interesting because it has a line-up of popular actresses such as Maudy Koesnaedi, Marcella Zalianty, Tika Bravani, Isyana Sarasvati, Hana Malasan, and Glory Hillary. These six actresses will play the role of famous figures in the Dutch colonial era.
As I mentioned earlier, this was my first monologue theater performance, so I was thrilled to be at the Jakarta Arts Building. The building is magnificent, boasting Dutch architecture, as it was a Dutch heritage building in Batavia—the former name for Jakarta.
I didn't have high expectations for this performance because I can't judge how theater should be, so I just enjoyed it because I was watching it with people I knew.
My friend, Pilo Poly, was one of the crew members mentoring actress Marcella Zalianty, who played the Acehnese heroine—Laksamana Malahayati. This was our first time seeing her perform. She's also performed in theater before, but we hadn't had the chance to see her for various reasons.
After the show, I looked for my favorite actress, Isyana Sarasvati, but she wasn't there. The main actress, Marcella, was busy with her honored guests. Then I saw Tika Bravani, who wasn't so busy; she was talking to only three people, but she was easily interrupted. I'd also seen her as Sore in a web series, so I asked to take a photo with her. She's a down-to-earth actress. I've admired her ever since.
So, this is the story of my encounter with the writing community that led me to where I am today.
Hasta La Vista...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
