Bowling After Work with Co-Work

Halo Buddies...

Sometimes, there's nothing wrong with feeling FOMO (fear of missing out) for something positive. Especially if you have a fun group to do anything with, including trying new things. That's what happens when you have friends on the same wavelength. I'm lucky to have them. We often hang out together at the end of our shifts, usually once a month. This is because we don't work office hours, so we rarely get to meet or go on vacation together. When the opportunity arises, even for a short time like after work, we will do it. And this time we went to a bowling alley. Currently, the bowling alley at that place has become popular because it is close to office buildings. So it's not difficult to reach the place on weekdays.

To be honest, I've never been bowling before. So when the opportunity arose for me to go there with a group of fun people, it was a must-see. This bowling alley is located inside Agora Mall. Called Spin City, this bowling alley is a favorite because it's located in an office area. Office workers are happy to stop by after work. Especially if the traffic is congested, it's a fun activity while waiting for the roads to clear.

For one game, we rented two bowling laps, as there were seven of us, so we needed two, for IDR 85,000 per person. That price included special bowling socks and shoes. It was my first time, so I was excited. This was definitely a new and meaningful experience for me.

There was a funny incident when I threw my first ball. I was so excited that I ran over the line. As a result, I slipped and landed in the lap. It was embarrassing, but since I was with my friends, it didn't matter. It's true that first experiences are the most defining. You know, when my bowling pins were down in one throw, it was an incredible feeling. Ever since then, I've felt like I had to go back.

Our team was divided into two teams: a men's team and a women's team. And here are my team's results. Even though it was our first time playing, our score wasn't too bad. It was pretty good. We just need to practice as much as possible to get straights more often.

This is an activity that will make you addicted. Since that day, we've been constantly looking for time to go bowling again. Coincidentally, some of the group used to be bowlers, so we can consider it our way of keeping these former bowlers in the loop. Paying what we paid for this exciting game certainly wasn't a bad thing.
