Hello Hive friends! How are you all? I hope you are happy and safe today.
Today I will share with you the experience I had n buying more fish to add to our goldfish.
So I mentioned in my previous article about how my Ryukin goldfish came in as a surprise and I am pleased about it.
Now the next day, my husband and I were very excited to set out the aquarium. We both wake up very early and I helped him carry it to our house. Only he cleaned it, and I tended to my kids' needs for school.
The aquarium had rainwater i it and algae had grown and he scraped them all off and added water from the faucet. That night before, we searched bout on how to take care of fish and we realized that the fish cannot tolerate chlorine or else they will die.
We also found out how to get rid of chlorine in water and it was just so easy: We only have to stock the water for a few hours and the chlorine itself will evaporate.
He got the glass squeaky clean!
Also, I asked my husband to buy fish food and he bought a kilo. We only had two fish and he bought a lot for them. He did not realize it until I pointed it out and we both laughed when he recalled the saleslady telling him he might ha da lot of fish because of the amount of fish food he bought.
These are floater feeds made especially for fish.
I then remembered my co-worker's husband having fish at his home so I asked my husband for some money so I could buy some if he sells them.
I went to my workplace with excitement in me; I took random photos as I walk on the street and this neighbor caught my attention.
He wore a ripped shirt and he looks very comfy in it. It made me remember 's funny story long ago about his husband l the same because he feels comfortable on it and something funny happened to him outside the mall. But to be honest, I do wear ripped shirts too especially when I am at home. There are just some shirts that feels very comfortable when worn, right?
The day is very lovely and so is the weather. I came to my workplace earlier than usual and I saw Jenny who was still at the office. I asked he if her husband sells fish and she called him about me buying fish. I told him I will be going with her to her home at lunch so I could get the fish myself.
I took my lunch at eleven in the morning and came with her to her home. They took their lunch as I looked at all the fish they had and enjoyed the lovely sight.
He had parrot fish, guppy fish, swordtail fish, mickey mouse fish, flower horn fish, oscar fish, and koi fish but way back at the time I bought the fish, I only knew very little of the names of the fish, and it felt so funny.
That's him catching the fish. He is only using ref tubs as a make-shift pond yet his farming is very successful.
Not long after I had the fish went back to the office, I am very excited about seeing the fish alone. And oh, he was throwing his aqua plants so I asked for them from him, he gave me a lot of plants and he put them in a separate plastic.
The fish get startled when I take a peek at them so I put them on a shoe box to protect them from light and shock and temperature.
As I waited for the time to go home, the weather changed from suny and bright to gloomy and wet. Does the same happens to your place?
Now is the time for our biggest mistake; We got so excited to see the fish in our tank and put them directly there without getting them quarantined and acclimatized.
We mixed the smaller fish with the huge goldfish and they seemed to be in fear always with them.
Also, I mixed the plants with the goldfish and they ate almost all of them.
Also, I and my family admired guppy fish the most and put them in a jar toot right for them, but not long after we took pictures and realized they were not comfortable, we transferred them to a bigger tank.
At the time these pictures were taken, we had very little knowledge about fish keeping; my husband kept looking at tutorial videos on how to take care of fish on youtube and it helped a lot.
He had been wanting to take care of fish when he was younger but his parents does not allow him to, and the fish we had today, it was his dream come true
