A work environment is the setting, social aspects, and physical conditions in which an individual performs their job.It has the potential to significantly impact employee morale, workplace relationships, performance, job satisfaction, and employee health.
I switched Places with a co-worker!
And thank God he agreed!
The first photo is of the new setting I had on my table. I had just finished decluttering and organizing thus it's a neat look.
This is now my point of view of my co-workers who lives playing chess in their vacant time and I am so glad I am away from them.
This is me, I had peace of mind and I can now focus more on my tasks and Hivin'.
I tried going with the flow until I can take it no more. My co-workers had brought two chess boards and they play on the table beside mine. Boy! They are so noisy and their laughs when someone is losing are driving me crazy!
You see, they are invading my privacy(though the office is not my property so I don't have to complain.) and I could not even ask them to lower their voices so I could focus on whatever I wanted ot do.
I had a worst Wednesday and I barely slept thinking that Thursday would be worse and I imagined what if I would switch places with thommy?
So I asked him on Thursday morning and I did tell him they get noisy whenever they go excited in defeating someone and I also told him I needed to get near the Wifi booster so that I will be able to connect to the internet for my self-review for LEA.
He gladly obliged and we immediately switched places. Others got shocked but my decision is fixed. It was the greatest Idea! you know I had been thinking of leaving my job for them but it was not worth it! I have kids and I am glad I was not in a rush doing decisions in life.
Now I feel better, I don't have visitors invading my space and I don't have to wait for someone to move before I could pass by.
Also, they are free to play chess whenever they want because they are now on adjacent tables! Win-win!
Though the internet connection is not that good, I and still grateful for my decision, no regrets yet even though I had to walk from time to time to print an invoice; I am positive that it will be fixed one day.
I may don't like my colleague's actions sometimes but they are good. It's just my mindset that I have to change and as long as I could I will adjust for them.
What about you, do you quit your job immediately when you don't like what your co-worker does?
