Hello, everyone! Ho ho! I miss being here. I hope I am still welcome in this wonderful community.
So this coming May 27 will be my Hive birthday and honestly I had been slacking over the past few years for many reasons especially being busy at work and laziness. Boy, I do regret any of it.
Recent happenings
PC upgrade!
So I have upgraded my work PC from windows 7 to windows 11 OS and I really though that all PCs are just the same but and really felt huge difference in working with smoothness and more. Then I realize why people who can afford never stop upgrading; tools really matter and no wonder crocheters do use branded crochet hooks!
I also gave up some of my workloads!
Last Saturday, I was called for a meeting with my colleagues by our general manager, Rona told our boss that I submit the invoices from work very late. She is being too mean these days, nagging at everyone but tail behind her when you confront her; I am really hoping that I would not bite back when the day comes. The truth is that the invoice was delayed because the toller was not around on May 1 because it was holiday and they would not accept invoices that lacks signature in it. At the end of the meeting, I was advised to make the billings every day after is it milled and would only have 3 days allowance to get the signature done and submit to the accounting. The funny part is that Rona will upload it after I give it to them but waits until Saturday to mail them. She's like adding more to my job and hers and to get her want done, I gave up checking the RM receiving since thommy and Gerson were on it as well.
I realized I had been torturing myself over the years for doing the Rm received checking, yet another job has been added as well. Pff! Anyway, this means I could have more free time now and will possibly be spending more time here.
Kerl's graduation
Anyway, enough of that, let me tell you the story of our dear friend, Kerl. He was the nephew of my sister's husband who lived in our house for some time being promised to be sent to school, everything was going well at first until Stephany shows he true attitude and gets angry when her husband gives her money. He had a very hard time but thank God he graduated senior high school despite the hardships he faced.
When he got to college we were very proud of him because he's got 1 grade and it means he is doing very well in his studies but soon the pandemic came and he left school to look for a job. But with our encouragement, he pursued his studies and became a working student at jolibee in Manolo Fortich and finally graduated last year.
Too bad he could not get latin honor, the reason was that he stopped school for a while; do you find it fair? Anyway, he let it pass and only wanted to graduate.
On the day of the graduation, he invited us and we were very happy to watch him in his black toga; yet too bad they were not informed that he only had to bring one family to accompany him on stage during the ceremony and we were left outside to wait but since we were already there, the husband and I waited until 7 pm to have a picture of him.
We did not let frustration consume us; we instead enjoyed the moment we were together and even took the chance to take pictures of the lights when the night came. Next to the gymnasium where the ceremony was held was a huge catholic church that had LED lights on its cross, it looks very nice
This is us on the way to the center of our town; I was waiting for my husband for a very long time across our house because of our miscommunication, but the husband rushed in and we soon went to the venue! We were very excited like he was our own son and seeing him is absolute happiness!
Whenever there are graduation ceremonies, these photographers steal pictures of you and they would print them for you to buy later. I guess they had good profit in this kind of business because there are lots of pictures that couldn't be retireved byu the owner of the face being photographed.
This is us while waiting on the pavilion next to the gymnasium; it provided us shelter during the rain
And on the last part of the day, Kerl invited us to have dinner at his boarding house; it was a very simple meal but all our hearts re very full of happiness! We are hoping for him to pass LET soon and hopefully, he will be one of the topnotchers!
This ends my story for today, thank you so much for your time and support.
Hiraya manawari!
