Larry almost made it to 20 yrs / 19 yrs and 7 months to be more precise. Had to put him down after the big snow storm most of the country had. Storm was Sunday with a bit left over Monday. I hoped he would have a natural death where I didn't have to make the decision but he was hurting.
He still had his keen mind in tack which made it harder to say goodbye. Had to wait till Tuesday, Vet closed Monday due to Storm.
Got him and his brothers when someone dropped them off at the same Vet's office in a big box when they were about 12 weeks old.
Larry was very smart, independent but a good patient. I ways was able to cut his nails and pill him with no trouble.
Dynamics will change in the house with the remaining 7 cats. Larry was well respected with the younger ones. He would lick any cat that would sit near him as he did with his 2 brothers when they were kids.
Curly passed 2 years ago but Moey who was the darling of the 3 only made it to 2yrs. He had a form of meningitis.

Soon after Larry was gone Mama's appetite fell off. Stopped eating dry food entirely, had her checked by Vet, Blood work good. This morning she ate good. Didn't think it had anything to do will Larry being gone but now I don't know.
