Today I woke, to a gentle knocking on my door. Which suddenly pulled me out of my dreams. I often wake up and know that I have been dreaming, but forget about what it is, that I have actually been dreaming about. This morning as I tried to wipe the sleep from my eyes and stumble over to my door. I had a quick flashback, I remembered standing in front of a mirror, with my mouth open, one of my teeth was missing and I was investigating the hole that remained, then all of a sudden I was pulled into that hole and transported to another dimension!
Woah, what a start to the day. At this point I wasn't sure if I was still dreaming or not, but I was fully awake. I had arranged to meet my friend at the truck, where we would travel together and attend the biweekly Friday meeting. I have been going consistently since they started, but it was to be her first time.
Now we were late though, I was so wrapped up in my dream, that I never woke up. But here I was now, pretty mind blown by my dream, whilst trying to greet my friend and ask her to give me a few minutes so that I could get myself together.
I have been drinking Chaga tea now, for the last few weeks. I make up a brew of it every two days and reuse the granules in the pot, until they run clear. A tablespoon of granules, lasts about a week. For those who don't know, Chaga is a mushroom, that grows on Birch trees and is seen by many as a parasite. It is, in actual fact, a hugely nutritious and immune boosting Mushroom, which is also an adaptogen.
An adaptogen is a plant which helps your body to adapt to stressful situations, by insuring your body has what it needs, when it needs it. Mushrooms play this role very well in nature, by providing plants and trees with the nutrients they need to grow and to also decompose.
I could spend ages talking about my love of mushrooms, they have always fascinated me. Did you know that they get their nutrients by digesting organisms outside of themselves?
The chaga mushroom that I use, has been harvested in Scotland, send to a friend of mine here in Spain in it's natural form and then he grins it done into granules, which I then use to make my tea everyday. It is one of the mushrooms, I intend to grow in my mushroom farm
Chaga is known to boost your immune system as well as protect your DNA. For those of us who are a little concerned about the Gene Therapy Injections, being rolled out, Chaga is a wonderful mushroom to take, if you are concerned about possible shedding. For me preventative care is best, because at this stage so little is know about the full effects of these injections and whether or not they can affect those who have chosen not to take them.
So Chaga tea has become a part of my daily routine and I really feel a difference in myself, whenever I don't have it. So after my large cup of tea, I was ready to attend the meeting and connect with other like minded people.
Mushrooms have been, my go to for quite a while now, whenever I am experiencing high levels of stress in my life. Which let's be honest, I think most of us are right now. I have the move and whole selling my home thing going on, on top of the global narrative being pushed on us all. So I knew, I needed something extra, to help me through this period of my life.
When my sister was unwell and after she pasted, i took a trio of mushrooms, which really supported my body and mind and I really do not think I could have gotten through that with out their support!
