Asymmetrical boards revolutionized the surfing world by challenging closed conventions. With their innovative designs and intentional asymmetries, they opened up new possibilities for maneuvers and experiences for surfers. Likewise, the Web3 movement and the punk spirit are shaking up the centralized structures of the internet.
Yooo GM SurfHive Guys!! All Good?
I'm preparing a new Asymmetric quiver, and I'd like to share with all you about SWEET AMNESIA, the best model I've ever developed in partnership with my Shaper Maze Surf Crafts, Just like equipment enables evolution, expansion and development in surfing.
New Point of View at Surf Perfomance
Do you agree that every time we are surprised by something, or that a new path shows us a high level of ecstasy or excitement, we tend to take it as an absolute truth.. As a New Guide, Yes or No?
Asymmetrical boards taught me to let go of the conventional, of what is taken for granted, more efficient... and with each model I keep surprising myself, each curve we decide to make or each fin tested in a new combination will make a total difference.
While asymmetrical boards brought new energy to surfing, the Web3 movement is injecting new energy into the internet. Both are driving innovation, diversity, and freedom, allowing individuals and communities to explore new territories and challenge the limitations imposed by traditional structures.
So, after almost 5 years of pure Asym Style, i experienced surfer slabs, heavy waves, almost flat sea, tube both ways, surfing with switch stance, surfing lying down, surfing with 2 fins, 3 fins, 1 fin, in the pacific ocean or in the atlantic ocean, many different conditions.
I came to the conclusion that surfing is indeed a metaphysical sport and that the entire link, the channel, which balances the body must be active and well maintained, it will make a total difference for good control and sense of the 5 senses for a good performance. Basically, it's not just about working out, getting to know the conditions of the sea, I believe that we must actually be electromagnetized to have maximum syntropic efficiency in surfing, and with the asymmetric ones, this walk was even cooler. I am surprised every surf.
SWEET AMNENSIA MODEL
For those new to the surfing business, or for those who don't understand much about asymmetrical boards, I'll explain it in a very basic way.
They are symmetrical like conventional boards, they can vary the nose design as well as the tail design, but I believe the big difference is in the positioning of the fins!
Most asymmetrics have a quadruple fin arrangement on one side of the board, and another with a larger fin, a twinfin model. however there are keel variations, for example, use of stabilizers.
Soon, the board will provide different experiences for both sides, and this does not mean that it is better or worse for one side, or that the asymmetry has been made to one side, but rather a new power of adaptation of how to make lines surfing in play.
In theory, on asymmetrical boards, one surfed side will get high speed, drive and flow in the dugs, bottom turn and passing sessions, but when the board comes into contact with the wall to maneuver we will have the ultra performance of a balanced quadfin.
On the other hand, it will be a little different if you try a base movement and lip. The movements to the other side, in this case, digging with quads and maneuvering with twin fins, will force us to make a smoother line, closer to the longboard... I just didn't expect that same soft line provides potential for aerials, spins, shouvet in the lip.
It's incredible.
in the creation of Sweet Amensia, or Asymmetry Fish (more commercial name) we sought to develop something inside, a small board, between 5`0 and 5'6, with concorde, edge decay, chamfered edge, that is, it has a design more rounded with beveled edges, beak and tail tapering a lot, almost like a knife.
And that makes the flat deck on the top and the double concave on the bottom come into deep harmony in a light, fun board that can surf heavy waves and gain high speed transitions.
The name sweet amensia came because on the first day of the test I had a lot of fun, I caught countless waves, at high speed, but I didn't remember what had performed on the wave, because it was such excitement that I was almost sequelized in the middle of high performance. So... here we are Sweet Amenesia. The best board I've ever surfed in my life.
I recommend everyone to try this new technology someday. I won't regret it...
CiaoCiao, See all u soon guys!
Good waves everyone 🕸
