[EN/PT-BR] WHAT AN "IMMERSION" IS LIKE BY THE SURFGURU TEAM

Aloha!

Talking about immersion, people here are crazy! Surfguru has a team of people working remotely from different places in Brazil. People from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, and Pernambuco work from home together to make Surfguru what it is today, Brazil's largest wave forecast platform.

Here, we literally see ourselves as a family. The team is not big, but everyone is very close, even distant. And like every family, there has to be that face-to-face meeting every now and then, which cannot be missed!

Therefore, every year, at least two or three times, the team gets together in some magical place to catch waves and co-work in a lighter and more relaxed way. This time, the highlight was Vila de Regência, in ES, or "Tubolândia" in Espírito Santo.

Without much ado, our immersions usually last a week, and during the period we stayed there in Vila Mágica, we received a swell with good conditions for everyone to catch a wave.

Our routine during the immersion in Regência starts early to take advantage of the land and catch the waves at the Tamar point, where the tubes run. The whole team went down and got good waves, take a look!

After surfing, there is lunch to replenish energy and a rest or a bit of work in the afternoon. At the end of the afternoon, the check takes place at the mouth of Rio, where there are slightly fuller waves, to the delight of the people who enjoy more maneuverable waves.

We also took advantage of the late afternoon in Rio to get everyone together to clean up the beach there. After all, the place is so magical for us that the least we can do is take care of it whenever possible.

And to make it even more special, this year, we had the company of Cerveja Corona to make our evenings lighter and more relaxed, enjoying the most beautiful sunset in Regência, on the edge of the waters at the mouth of the Rio Doce.

In short, getting the crowd together to catch waves in unique corners like Regência is part of our culture, and over the years, we have realized how important this is to keep the Aloha spirit alive within our team. This way, we can take a break from our daily routine and share incredible moments with people who value this connection with nature that only surfing can provide us!

Falou em imersão, a galera aqui pira! O Surfguru tem uma equipe de pessoas que trabalham remotamente em lugares diferentes do Brasil. Tem gente de São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo e Pernambuco, todo mundo trabalhando de casa, para juntos fazer do Surfguru o que ele é hoje, o maior portal de previsão de ondas do Brasil.

Aqui a gente se vê literalmente como uma família. A equipe não é grande, mas todo mundo é muito próximo, mesmo distante. E como toda família, vez ou outra tem que rolar aquele encontro presencial, que não pode faltar!

Por isso, todos os anos, pelo menos duas ou três vezes a equipe se reúne em algum lugar mágico para pegar altas ondas e fazer um co-working de forma mais leve e relaxada. A bola da vez foi a Vila de Regência, no ES, a tubolândia capixaba.

Sem muitas delongas, nossas imersões geralmente duram uma semana e durante o período que ficamos lá na Vila Mágica, recebemos um swell com boas condições pra todo mundo pegar onda.

Nossa rotina durante a imersão em Regência começa cedo para aproveitar o terral e pegar as ondas no point do Tamar, que é onde rolam os tubos. Toda a equipe botou pra baixo e pegou altas, dá uma olhada!

Depois do surf, rola o almoço pra repor as energias e um descanso ou um pouquinho de trabalho na parte da tarde. E no fim da tarde rola o check na boca do Rio, onde rolam ondas um pouco mais cheias, pra alegria da galera que curte ondas mais manobráveis.

Também aproveitamos o fim de tarde na boca no Rio pra reunir a galera pra fazer uma limpeza de praia no local. Afinal de contas, o lugar é tão mágico pra gente, que o mínimo que podemos fazer é cuidar sempre que possível.

E pra ficar ainda mais especial, esse ano tivemos a companhia de Cerveja Corona, para deixar os nossos fins de tarde mais leves e relaxados, curtindo o pôr do sol mais lindo de Regência, na beira das águas da boca do Rio Doce.

Em resumo, juntar a galera para pegar onda em cantinhos especiais como é Regência, faz parte da nossa cultura e ao longo dos anos fomos percebendo o quanto isso é importante para manter o espírito Aloha vivo dentro da nossa equipe. Dessa forma a gente consegue dar aquele respiro da rotina diária e compartilhar momentos incríveis com pessoas que valorizam essa conexão com a natureza que só o surf é capaz de nos proporcionar!
