Minutes into hours. Hours into days. Days into weeks. The crew of Space Force 3 was beginning to grow weary, and hopeless of ever finding their missing comrades.
beep ... beep ... beep
A proximity sensor started to beep. The crew of four - and even Repair-o-Bot! - gathered excitedly in the control room. A few clicks and clacks on the buttons and they discover an alien ship in view! Blue squealed like a little girl. They followed the alien ship to a nearby planet. The alien ship landed, while Yellow and Pink took the shuttle down.
The entire crew was giddy with excitement. Yellow and Pink drove over to meet the alien crew.
"Yagga agga, bloink goop," said one of the aliens.
"Moothrua gooty hoily floap," replied the second.
Yellow and Pink looked at each other. Well. They suddenly both realised that the crew did not contain a linguist.
The two aliens they were looking at looked at each other as well. One of them turned around and produced a neat looking helmet, which he offered to the pair. Yellow took it, put it on, and suddenly understood the alien language!
"Greetings frail looking creatures," the one alien said. "We have been monitoring you. You are looking for other frail looking creatures, aren't you?"
Yellow nodded in excitement. Pink looked confused, because he was not wearing an interprative helment.
"Follow us in your ship," the alien said. "We will bring you."
Yellow squealed again, a sound which translated to another squeal, which caused the aliens to look at each other confused. After a moments thought they both shrugged, a motion which is well understand in any culture in any world as "Whatever," and continued on their way. Yellow and Pink went back to their rover to take them back to the shuttle and Yellow filled the crew in. More squeals. They were finally making some progress!
