So, I’m about to publish my first entry for the Monomad black-and-white challenge, and I’m really excited to share it. I took these photos at the botanical garden during a little outing with some friends, and the day turned out perfect, great light, good company, and plenty of interesting corners to explore with the camera.
The series includes quite a few sculptures scattered around the garden, some of little angels and others more classical in style, each with its own charm. I loved how the black and white brought out the textures of the stone and all those tiny details you might miss in color. The contrast between the solid shapes of the statues and the lush greenery around them created a really unique atmosphere, almost as if they were quietly interacting with their surroundings.
A ver, voy a publicar mi primera participación en el reto de Monomad de blanco y negro, y me hace mucha ilusión compartirla. Las fotos las hice en el jardín botánico durante una salida con unos compañeros, y la verdad es que el día acompañaba muchísimo: buena luz, buen ambiente y muchos rincones interesantes para explorar con la cámara.
Entre las imágenes hay bastantes esculturas repartidas por el jardín, algunas de angelitos y otras más clásicas, cada una con su propio encanto. Me gustó mucho cómo el blanco y negro resaltaba las texturas de la piedra y los pequeños detalles que quizá pasarían desapercibidos en color. El contraste entre las formas rígidas de las estatuas y toda la vegetación alrededor daba una sensación muy especial, como si estuvieran en plena conversación con el entorno.
I also added about three photos of some beautiful white flowers I found along the way. They were delicate and had lovely lighting, so I couldn’t resist capturing them too. I think they add a soft touch among all the statues and structure. Altogether, it’s a small mix of nature, art, and peaceful moments. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Además, incluí unas tres fotos de unas flores blancas que encontré por el camino. Eran muy delicadas y tenían una luz preciosa, así que no pude evitar capturarlas también. Creo que aportan un toque suave entre tanta estatua y estructura. En conjunto, es una pequeña mezcla de naturaleza, arte y momentos tranquilos. Espero que os guste tanto como yo disfruté haciéndolas.
