There are many mushrooms that appear during the rainy season. For some reason, I seem to be hooked. I never feel satisfied; I continue to accept invitations from anyone who wants to hunt mushrooms in the forest. For me, a mushroom walk is an exciting activity, although sometimes tiring. I can't count how many kinds of mushrooms I have documented, and I never throw them away. It's because I love them. Yes, it is their beauty that has me hooked!
Today I'm sharing some macro shots of the lentil shanklet (Collybia tuberosa). They form colonies on weathered areca nut bark. They have made the quiet forest seem lively. Maybe not everyone is fascinated by mushrooms; that's because they don't know the secret behind them.
