I posted some macro shots as always, for the daily #monomad challenge. There were some robber flies caught with my phone camera. The Ouachita plumetop, or Ommatius ouachitensis, is a species of robber fly belonging to the genus Ommatius. Every afternoon, these little robbers are commonly seen in the grasslands south of my city. They choose thin twigs as perches, observing prey from there before launching an ambush. What's great is that they can do it alone without being in a group, and this effort always pays off.
