While walking this afternoon, I noticed a lynx spider in the bushes. It was wearing dark “boxing gloves” (pedipalps), indicating that it was a male. It had thin whiskers that extended to its jaws. The spider was in a charging stance; it was probably a warning not to approach. That made me nervous. I had to be careful; I didn’t want to get a jab or even an uppercut by our little boxer. Damn! Luckily nothing happened.
