Hello great fellow colleagues. Hope you're all doing great today. In this post I want to show you how the local broom is being made from the palm tree. The palm fronds.

I was wondering at the backyard to check and inspect the palm trees of there any ready for harvest. Then I met two trees with 2 heads ripe from both. After it was harvested. The branches were being gathered by me and my sister. You know palm tree is one the trees that every single part of it it worth for used. From oil to palmwine to wood to making of fire to making of brooms. From the seed to making of hail oil we call it Mai alaidi in Hausa dialect. Infact everything is worth having from the palm tree.
So after we have gathered it she said let make broom out of these branches. So she started by removing the fronds from the branch. You will remove every fronds.

After removing the fronds, next she gathered the fronds and using knife she pilled off the unwanted part leaving alone the stick.

After which she spread the bunch under the sun for maximum sun dry. The process is simple and short.
