This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
Not even a week when I went to the residence of a friend in the village of Blang Pante, Paya Bakong, Aceh, Indonesia. When I got there he invited me to his family's chili plantation area, And of course there are several species of insects there. I remember very well if I managed to photograph some insects such as grasshoppers, moths and hoverfly which I previously posted in different communities.
And in today's #monomad challenge I want to share one of the insect species I found there. "Walang sangit" is a popular name for an insect called Leptocorisa oratorius. By some grain farmers, this insect is considered a pest because it interferes with the process of filling rice grains so that crop productivity decreases. But on the other hand, in Indonesia some people use these insects as food by frying them and then in chili sauce.
