I was a happy kid who had real trains to play with.
Now I'm an awkward grown-up person, who stays awake longer than 24h just to jump on the first one in order to avoid the crowds.
I remember the summers I spent with my granny, she lived right next to the train station where she also spent her working life.
I enjoyed the free train rides as well as access to the consoles in the train control room, I greeted the trains, and escorted them out of the station waving.
The board with a thousand keys always enticed me to press at least once, but it was a big NO-NO.
The last time the train was an hour and a half late, this time I had a different misunderstanding with the unkind staff, so I think as if they are trying their best to disgust my favorite way of transport, but I still do not give up.
The rocking of the train as it slid slowly down the rails put me to sleep, and the rays of the first sun woke me up, the landscapes were permeated with light and morning dew.
More passengers joined me, some of them headed home after the night shift, kids on the way to school, quite awake and talkative (a bit too much talkative).
EXIT
3 hours later I arrived at my destination.
Thank you
, this is my entry for the #monomad challenge, and thank you all for your time and interest in what I do 🙌
