Sheffield Tram Sheds
I'm not really an "Urbexer" but I do like shooting models in grubby derelict sites. Sadly all of these sites featured in this post have now either been demolished or are inaccessible. The tram shed used to be a fantastic place to shoot, it was so big, so many different areas. And when I first went, the graffiti was exceptional. Massive pieces of art.
Former RAF Coleby Grange
I've shot at Coleby Grange quite a few times. It is still there, but it's a bit of a nightmare to get to and because of the way you have to get to it, you run the risk of running in to the farmer that owns the land. And (probably justifiably) he gets mighty pissed off with people tramping along his land to the building.
Former RAF Coleby Grange
Its not worth the hassle (for me at least). although people still do venture there. Apparently its something of a haven for paranormal "investigators" as it is supposed to be haunted. I never saw anything in all the times I went. But then, its not something I really believe in.
Former RAF Manby
Had only visited RAF Manby twice, once for a recce and once for a shoot. Unfortunately the shoot was cut short when the local police moved us on. Shortly after that abbreviated visit, some local kids set fire to the place, doing so much damage and keeping the local fire brigade busy over night.
Former RAF Stenigot
Part of Stenigot still does exist but these magnificent and mammoth sized dishes have long gone. Broken up and taken away on lorries. I remember seeing these as a kid on trips to the coast with my family, and its sad that a little bit of history has gone.
About me:
I can mostly be found shooting models, aviation, motorsports and, when I can, wildlife. But I enjoy most aspects of photography. You can find more of my work on the links below.
