Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!
This shoot I wanted to get back to the theme of music selfies and photographies. So, I got into the theme of percussion instrument. There many other instruments around the house and they could be useful to develop this concept of photography. I've drawn into it by professional curiousity. Since the start of the online classes the last week of March, the rabbit hole has guided me into new territories and I've been able to add 2 new instruments to my collection and building repertoire.
The Bongos are not in this take because they are waiting some paint job. But I took the chance of having my Flamenco Box Drum get some part of the spotlight alongside my maracas that you saw last week.
It was a challenge to go with the flow with the photos. I wanted to have some moving shots, but it isn't possible unless someone else takes the photos. Maybe I'll be able to do it. I think these could benefit from some movement. Specially to show some of the combinations made with the maracas while playing.
My favorite by far is the one with the hands on the drum and the maracas on the floor.

¡Buen día, amantes de las fotografías en blanco y negro!
Mi idea con estas fotos es recrear ese concepto de las selfies musicales. Tengo varios instrumentos y creo que me podrían servir como piezas de utilería interesante para construir conceptos a través de la fotografía. En este caso, lo hice con mis instrumentos de percusión. Me siento atraídos a estos por curiosidad profesional. Desde que comencé las clases a finales de marzo, ya he añadido dos instrumentos nuevos a la colección y el repertorio de construcción.
No tengo los Bongós porque siguen esperando un trabajo de pintura por parte de una amiga. Sin embargo, les doy por aquí un atisbo del Cajón Flamenco. Todavia no está listo, pero quería que compartiera el escenario con mis maracas.
Fue un reto lograr las tomas. Quería movimiento en ellas, pero resulta que la única forma en que puedo hacer eso es que alguien más las tomé. Ya se podrá en otro momento. Me parece prudente que las fotos musicales incluyan algo de lo que se hace al tocar los instrumentos. Las combinaciones de movimientos en las maracas son muy interesantes.
Mi favorita es que la incluye los instrumentos y mis manos.
