Takanakuy: Masks, Rituals and Reconciliation / Máscaras, rituales y reconciliación

Hello my friends of the community. As always, I’m here to share a piece of my country. This is another installment of the Takanakuy series; I am still processing many photos, but today I want to show you more of the taxidermy and the typical costumes of this festivity.
In this set, you can see:
- Ukuku masks.
- The judge with his traditional fox hat.
- Typical bull horns (personally, I am always against bullfighting).
- "Tapadas" outfits that imitate the Virgin.
Happiness is found in the dance. We can see it in the timbre, dancing with joy. It is a celebration where, before the fights, everyone is a friend. Rivals and challengers are united, drinking and dancing, knowing that they will soon resolve their differences with their bare fists. It is a way to end years of conflict, leading to peace and harmony.
I hope you enjoy this series; it is, above all, a cultural journey. Good vibes to everyone!

Hola mis amigos de la comunidad, siempre trayendo un pedazo de mi país. Esta es una entrega más del Takanakuy; aún estoy procesando fotos, pero hoy les enseño un poco más de la taxidermia y los trajes típicos de dicha fiesta.
En esta serie podrán ver:
- Máscaras de Ukukus.
- El juez con su sombrero de zorro.
- Los cuernos típicos taurinos (aclarando que estoy siempre en contra de las corridas).
- Vestimentas de tapadas imitando a la virgen.
La felicidad es la danza y la vemos en el timbre danzando con alegría. Es una fiesta donde, antes de las peleas, todos son amigos; los enemigos o retadores están unidos bebiendo y bailando, sabiendo que pronto resolverán sus diferencias a puño limpio. Es una manera de terminar con años de diferencias para que todo termine en paz y armonía.
