I was lately really often carrying my camera with me, in urban areas & in forests, shooting not only mushrooms but also some other creatures... I was thinking I'll be satisfied in color version but I tried b'n'w & they look so much better!
Swans In River Korana
Karlovac is a city on 4 rivers. I was visiting some friends there so we went for a walk around the town. On river Korana there were these majestic birds, biggest & most beautiful white ducks. People always had admiration for their beauty.
For me it is hard to recognize who is male & who is female between the swans. I think the male is bigger & they live in couples all their lives. (Or is it just a romantic legend?!)
Eyes to eyes confrontation portrait - it seems that the giant white duck didn't like my camera pointed at him/her.
Life Takes Strangest Forms
I remember I shot this organism long time with just a phone camera that I had that time. Meanwhile I saw it again few times but it is kind of rare & often I was not carrying the camera. This I shot in Karlovac too, while walking around with a friend.
I don't know what is it but possible some moss or lichen. It was growing on the old wooden piece.
These forms a thrilling to me & that is why I shoot them.
Salamander Portrait
This creature I like so much! Every encounter with it I really like, especially when they stop for me to shoot them! This one was standing & posing for me for a while giving me a chance to make a good shot. It is said that it is poisonous & if you touch it too much, it emits poison through the skin which can poison you. I guess that is why it so slowly moving & never runs away.
It keeps close to the sweet water but I mostly see it on land. Only once I saw 2 of them swimming in a small lake under the waterfall. I'm Aquarius & I feel special connection with water & wind & also with the creatures of water & air. Maybe that is why I admire these so much...
