Waterflow
This summer I spent quite a lot of time on the river Rječina. I didn't like the Adriatic sea too much this year cause it was kind of dirty & every summer too crowdy too. So, I avoided it often & was finding refreshment on the coasts of the river. The micro climate of the river was much more comfortable even thou situated only 15 km from the sea side but higher altitude & overgrown with forest, lesser concrete & asphalt. The river water was also ice cold while the sea temperature was much higher. I often was taking my camera to the river & finding it different every time I visited it. On the following shots few waterfalls can be seen in full editions.
This waterfall, next to the watermill in Martinovo selo, was very dry the last time I shot it.
It looks really magnificent when fully running water.
I also went aside, passing the watermill & shot this one from that angle too.
That day I had meeting by the river with a nice girl. We agreed to upstream following the river. I was only 1 hour before the nightfall. On the entrance to the forest path, we met 2 friend of mine coming by a camper van & planning to sleep there overnight. So, we changed our plan a bit & were hanging out with my 2 friends for a while. We had an evening bath in the cold, cold river & there I took the following...
I used also the tripod here trying to catch the streaming water & the evening haze about the stream.
Many people from the region like to spend time on the river shores, relaxing & enjoying. Sometimes they intervene creating spontaneous landart.
The river flow forms the landscape - like this beach.
This was actually the 1st shot I took that day. Approx. 1 month ago. It is another waterfall, also near some house. There I was thinking how nice it would be to live next to the river waterfall but the answer came too in the form of a question, a counter question - What noise the waterfall would make?!
One more time I wanted to emphasize the natural beauty of this small river, the pearl of the area where I live my life. The water source which quenches the thirst of the many local residents, humans, plants & animals... This is another praise of mine for the river.
