Developed me a new superpower last night. Worked on a post until a little after 0200 and then published it four years ago. Pretty sure it's in the running for the most counterproductive superpower of the year. Just got me one question: What in hell's name happened? Everything had went like normal, just another B&W post for the #monomad, but after hitting publish, nothing popped up in my feed. Got a notification of a single vote, so was reasonably certain it hadn't completely vanished into the æther, but after a couple refreshes decided was on the fritz and went to bed.
Got up this morning and discovered nothing had changed. Shit. Some coffee reminded me of the single vote, and the notification let me track it down in time. Was weird seeing photos from this past Friday posted four years ago. Noticed that the post was in a completely different community from the one I was posting to last night, eventually realized that the comments were from a post with photos from my 2021 DC trip. Makes me wonder if the old post somehow got replaced with last night's. Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.
Initially blamed ecency but then got to wondering if it was something other than a front-end that was responsible. Any of y'all have any ideas as to what happened, or know someone who might?
