Can always tell when spring has well and truly arrived, my back always does this neat trick where it goes out right when its time to do all the spring things. Last year it hit right at the beginning of April, barely had enough time for it to mend before going camping for the eclipse. This year it waited until today, so there's nothing for it but to grumble about it.
A nice snowboarding accident and too much time spent doing backbreaking work are the likely culprits, but there ain't no justice in this town. We do have BTC ATMs though.
When it decides to go out like this there's not much for it but to find a comfortable position and stay in it. Don't know about y'all but me and enforced inertness don't get along too well. Have learned the hard way that it's still better than not staying still.
Secretary Brainworm told me that the best thing for back pain is to bitch about it, figured I might as well give these new new age cures a try. Hey, maybe he'll bring back laudanum next. Don't mind me, it's more discomfort than actual pain, and just enough of that to make it hard to concentrate.
A topic for this was eluding me so I went with the problem instead. You're welcome. As long as I avoid antagonizing my back any further, I'll be back in action in a day or two, but until then here's some photos from recent wanders around town.
By the power invested in me as Reverend Colonel, I hereby declare this the Spring Grumbles. Anyone else similarly afflicted?
