Had to get away from all the plot twists this past weekend, headed down to the sprawling metropolis of Nepton, Kentucky for a bit of a shindig. There's a tobacco barn there that I'm fond of photographing and Highly Likely, a jamgrass band out of Cincinnati, was putting on a show inside it Saturday evening.
Nepton isn't exactly the most densely populated area, the post office closed in 1958, but folks still came out to hear some music.
The music and the sound were great but the light inside the barn was terrible for photography. Still had to snap a few anyway.
Now could somebody please explain to me what jamgrass is? Or is that what the kids are calling the Grateful Dead these days?
Near as I could tell, it was highly likely that everybody had a good time. They played a couple sets and nobody called the law, it was great. Both us and the band spent the night on the farm, so after everybody left there was some fire and more music but there's no evidence of that.
Once everyone regained consciousness the next morning, we had some breakfast and wandered around the farm a bit before making our way back home.
