This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Well, it took a few false starts and some mishaps, but we finally returned back to Tankspace. It was cancelled the first time due to technical issues, and then the second time due to covid bollocks, but we made it eventually (all thanks to doggedly persevering to make this event go ahead.)
Tankspace is essentially a studio with a massive tank of water allowing models to swim and float around, photographers to capture them in action. See Here to get an idea of the setup.
This time however, there was something new to play with, as the owner had built/installed a Rain Set.
Drew
Fairly self explanatory, There is a rig hanging from the ceiling which allowed water to fall down on to the models below, and the aim is to replicate rainfall and you can see from the picture that its pretty effective.
But why not just wait till it rains? I hear you cry... well you may have a point (especially in the UK when it rains most of the time). Here we can control the rainfall, and we can have fancy lights positioned nearby. And the kicker, the water is heated to a comfortable 35C.

It is a very specialized set, which does mean it is a fantastic opportunity to get some very different shots for both my portfolio and for the models too.
Just like last time it was a big group event, and there was a chance to work with some new faces which is always enjoyable. It was the first time I worked with all three of the ladies featured here, and they were all fantastic.

After taking turns using the rain set, we then headed back over to the Tank for the main 'event'. I'd say that that I'm saving those for another post, but truth be told I haven't even managed to start looking at those yet, let alone edit them....
For those of you who want to know more, you can check out the website for more details. Its expensive, but you are guaranteed to get something different to your standard studio shoots, well recommended.
By the way, in the image above, those lines are actually waterproof striplights, which I could adjust the colour of. They probably look better ine the colour version:
