Hello everybody! Black and white allows you to look at the world from a different angle. Colors play a decisive role in shaping visual perception. The ancient churches themselves are delightful historical structures, but in black and white they radically change their appearance. Meet the Red Church in Minsk. This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Archinger Michael defeats the Serpent. The personification of the victory of good over evil.
The history of the Red Church of St. Simeon and St. Helena has more than a century, and to be specific, more than 110 years. This is a delightful building that has been restored and rebuilt many times.
The building of the red church is replete with church symbols. From the front door, every detail tells you that you are in a religious place.
The drawing above the front door indicates the year of the creation of the city of Minsk. I depict Saint Helena surrounded by angels.
Surrounded by the Red Church, there is a statue and some important objects. The Nagasaki bell was built in honor of people who died from nuclear disasters and epidemics.
On the day of the shooting of the Red Church, fog reigned in the city. The 50-meter central tower of the building periodically disappeared into the fog. In black and white, the fog creates the effect of a strong light in the sky. But it doesn't spoil the big picture.
The Red Church has a non-standard arrangement of towers. This creates an interesting effect, as the building looks unique from each side.
Numerous elements like puzzles complete the picture. I like to observe individual thematic elements.
There is a separate entrance on each side of the building. Each entrance is unique.
During the holidays, the Red Church is visited by a large number of parishioners and guests of the city. Tourists who visit Minsk must visit this place, since the church is located in a historical place - Independence Square.
As well as outside, inside the Red Church has an abundance of elements of religious themes.
Every wall inside is part of a biblical story.
It takes a lot of time to enjoy all the paintings, architecture, elements and statues. However, for sure, once you visit the Red Church, you will be delighted. This place is charged with positive energy. The atmosphere of the Red Church is felt in any color, but in black and white it takes on new shapes and changes perception.
I hope that you just as you were able to enjoy the atmosphere of the Red Church in black and white.
