These photos ware taken in Namibia. The place is the Kolmanskop. Once this little town was a rich diamond settlement, but now an abandoned ghosttown. The desert sand has taken over the houses when the people moved out. The people who once lived here left because richer areas with diamonds were found further south. When they left Kolmanskop, they left many of their belongings behind. By the year 1956 the last person had left town and Kolmanskop was left for the desert to take over.
