The fascination with portraying these sculptural works is simply wonderful. It is a connection between art and nature, an open-air art gallery that connects with plants and together they make a perfect combination. Walking among these sculptures and taking photos has always been a great pleasure, to the point that I always return and do something different. I've always felt that black and white is perfect for this theme, and I can highlight the shadows, the light, the stone, and the surroundings.

On the other hand, I should mention that these works have possibly been a starting point for the style of artistic nude photography that I eventually do. In a way, I always try to make the model look like a sculpture.

The Carlos Thays Botanical Garden has this and much more to offer. It is a place to disconnect and reconnect, art, lights, shadows, nature, silence, and it is even cinematic. Best of all, it is located right on Santa Fe Avenue, in the middle of all the city chaos, but this garden even offers areas where silence and peace reign. It is as if you were entering a dimension where nothing there has any connection with the outside world, with noise and routine.

Every time I take a walk there, I meet fellow photographers looking for interesting scenes to capture. Some stand transfixed among the sculptures, while others search for beautiful flowers to photograph.

On my last visit, I took these and other photos in the place that I will be sharing with you in the future, some in black and white and others in color. It's the first time I've spent a little more time in the botanical garden looking for something different from what I've done there before.
