So Hivers the other week week coming into land from Kuala Lumper, The after landing on the north runway the plane had taxi around to Terminal 4 at Heathrow and we got stuck in the queue waiting to cross the bottom of the south runway with other flights taking off. We were stuck for ages but I was lucky enough to be sat on the right side to watch the planes taking off down south runway.
Most of the smaller stuff like 747 were well up in the air and too high to get a photo from my seat but this British Airways Jumbo needed every inch. Taking off in to the overcast grey June sky. I think the photo looks a lot more moody in black and white mind you the original from my phone looks a little washed out os it was shot on my phone through the plane window.
I often wonder if the Wright Brothers ever imagined what they had started on the beach at Kitty Hawk only 120 years ago, not too shabby for a couple of Bicycle Mechanics.
