My entry for the #monomad challenge.
For over 20 years of my stay in Calabar just realised this serene ambient glance was once occupied by the Europeans. It was tracked down in the old side of Calabar town close to the state governor's lodge and said to be the former capital of Nigeria.
However, after taking the images decided to find meaning or read meaning to them because images give a lot of significance. I met security officers who were on duty and was advised to visit people at the museum for better understanding. The next day proceeded with the images to the museum for answers. I was told the serene ambient was occupied by the European specifically the British in the 1800 century.
It was said that they built the first European club in Nigeria in that very spot. This was a place for merriment, enjoyment and fun for them. When looking at this picture clearly, you can see that the Europeans had a good eye for location and are located close to the river and nature all over the place.
It was also said that during their stay, they never allowed any black race to join and Merry with them because the issue of racism was still very prevalent at that time so the blacks decided on their own to build what gave birth to the African club. (1903).
This beautiful serene ambient spot has become a lifesaver, especially for those that want beautiful background pictures for their wedding.
Thank you all.
Long live the hive community and people of Ukraine.
