Good morning dear Friends in the Black And White Community ππΈ
As I usually review, process and publish photos from my recent travels in a certain order, today it is the turn of this castle in Kraljevica, in the northern part of our beautiful Adriatic. It was built by the noble Frankopani family in the 17th century, and today it remains a symbol of the time that shaped the Croatian coast. Here, every window hides its own story. Every shadow preserves a memory. Thus, this castle does not stand just as a building β but as a guardian of identity and the past. Built in the mid-17th century on the site of an older fortress, as the residence of Petar Zrinski and his wife Katarina Frankopan, it was an important point of the Zrinski-Frankopan network of fortresses, and later served various economic and military purposes.
