There is not much in Alvie, which is a small town, population of 141 in the Western Districts of Victoria about 160km from Melbourne.
But there is this Church - St Andrews, and Anglican church which is likely to have been built in 1895 as it has a foundation stone which reads: Erected to the Glory of God - and dedicated by permission - to the memory of - Andrew and Elizabeth Murray - of 'Wool Wool' AD 1895 Wool Wool is the awesomely named town next door, although a that time was likely a a single property, which I'm going to take a crazy guess and say it was a sheep station.
The church itself is pretty standard brown bricks on most walls, but then a rendered side which is a pale blue, which franly doesn't really work, but if you shoot it in Black and White you get the beauty of the 130 year old church without the poor decisions of the recent painters.
